Chi Fan for Charity: Napa Valley Style on April 19th at TRB

Beijing’s beloved charity and dining event, Chi Fan for Charity (CFFC) is normally held annually in November, but this time, they’re back for a mid-year premiere event, bringing Napa Valley Vintners in town to host a very special dining event on Friday, April 19th.

Originally founded by Michael Crain, CFFC has been running 4 years strong (most recently, CFFC 2012 raised over RMB 400,000 to support Little Flower Projects and The Starfish Project), this is the second year they are hosting a collaboration between CFFC and Napa Valley Vintners for a spectacular dining experience for a worthy cause, but this time with a twist.

Instead of 40 separate restaurants each sponsoring a table of ten seats with all proceeds going to charity, Temple Restaurant Beijing (TRB) has generously offered up their entire restaurant (a grand total of 120 seats), meaning that they will close their doors to the public (on a Friday night!) and dedicate their entire venue and restaurant team to serve the charitable foodies of CFFC.

Reflecting on this past year, I am reminded of one of the most spectacular evenings of the year.  It’s an event that comes only once a year, a glamorous evening that rallies hundreds of Beijingers together in an effort to wine, dine and party for good causes.

An event I am personally very proud to be a part of, Chi Fan for Charity (CFFC) is a Beijing’s premiere charity dining event that’s only getting better each year. This 2012, we managed to raise over RMB 400,000 in just one night in Beijing!  It’s astounding to watch this event raise the bar each year, with word-of-mouth going viral and seeing more and more people active and excited about such a worthwhile charity event.

Originally founded by Michael Crain, Chi Fan for Charity has quickly made a name for itself as one of Beijing (and now Shanghai)’s most highly-anticipated culinary and charity events of the year.
