Agua Infinity Weekend Brunch Anniversary: Tuna Ceviche Salad

Agua’s Infinity Weekend Brunch Anniversary Launches New Summer Dishes

Celebrating the one year anniversary of one of Beijing’s most celebrated weekend brunches, Agua has re-updated their Infinity Weekend Brunch menu to include some delightfully refreshing new summer-inspired dishes.

Plated with bright and colorful floral accents, the new dishes are as pleasing to the eye as they are to your taste buds. Some new highlights include a lovely new chilled watermelon gazpacho, tuna ceviche (pictured above), a “Landaise salad” that includes duck foie gras, duck ham rillette, poached chicken egg and mustard vinaigrette, and braised New Zealand lamb leg with ratatouille.

Though their 1 year anniversary brunch was marked on Saturday, May 9th, they’ll be celebrating with “free swag” to all Infinity Brunchers the entire month of May. Even after a year, the value of this brunch deal remains just how we like it- RMB 298 per person for infinite dishes (you can order and eat til you can’t) with the option of adding on RMB 168 for infinite cocktails (Cava, Spanish Mimosa, Bloody Mary, Sangria, Red or White Wine), all between 12PM-3PM.

The Hutong: Cookie Monster Baking Class w/ Jon Ellis

Cookie Monster Bake-Off Contestants

Out of 17 of Beijing’s Best Bakers, Jon Ellis’ Mixed Nut & Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies won both the Cookie Monster Charity Bake Off’s People’s Choice + Judge’s Choice Awards!

Last year, LumDimSum and The Hutong organized a Cookie Monster Charity Bake-Off last December and raised over RMB 7,560 to fund education projects for a non-profit organization called Bridging Education and Mobility (BEAM) that seeks to connect teachers in rural and migrant schools with the resources to help their classrooms succeed. With money raised from the event’s raffle ticket sales, a portion of the total bake sales throughout the day and entrance tickets, we raised enough to fund at least 5 upcoming education projects for BEAM!

“With 17 superb bakers standing tall and proud by their very best Cookie-Monster-worthy cookie recipes, The Hutong saw over 75 cookie-munching sweet tooths come through their doors to taste sample their way through 17 different cookie varieties to determine which cookie would make Cookie Monster himself most excited.” – excerpt from LumDimSummary article about the Cookie Monster Bake-Off

Though the competition was steep with so many incredibly creative and talented bakers showcasing their precious sweet creations, it was pretty incredible that one baker stood out from the rest by winning both the People’s Choice Award AND Judge’s Choice Awards with a twist on a classic Chocolate Chip Cookie.

Agua Infinity Brunch

A New Weekend Brunch Concept: Agua’s Infinity Brunch is what Beijingers have been waiting for

An indulgent weekend treat, Agua’s Infinity Brunch is a new take on brunching in style, “all-you-can-eat” and definitely a step up from all the copy-cat buffet spreads you see all over town. Instead of leaving a bunch of mediocre food to sit out on displayed platters that seem to care more about presentation and ornamentation, Agua’s Infinity Brunch is all about freshness and quality and nothing is cooked before it has been ordered.

After sampling Agua’s new Spring Menu a few weeks ago (launched April 1st), I was delighted to find a few similarly-inspired dishes included on their Infinity Brunch menu.

They’ve only just launched this exceptionally mouth-watering weekend brunch a few weeks ago, so expect a few menu changes and improvements as they continue to welcomely receive feedback and suggestions.

November was a big month for both Agua Spanish Restaurant and Mosto as they both celebrated their 5 year anniversaries about two weeks apart together with good food, good drinks and good friends.

Keeping these good spirits alive, the restaurants’ two chefs – Jordi Valles of Agua and Daniel Urdaneta of Mosto are joining forces as an unstoppable team to put together an incredible, drool-worthy 15-Signature Tastes Dinner Menu featuring the best of both Agua and Mosto’s signature dishes across the past 5 years.

Agua Contemporary Spanish Restaurant

Gearing up for their 5 year anniversary, Agua Spanish Restaurant is going all out with celebrations happening this week!

Split across two nights, birthday celebrations begin this Thursday, November 7th with a beautifully gluttonous Anniversary Gala Dinner featuring gin and tonic trolley by London No. 1 followed by a big birthday bash on Friday night, November 8th complete with a selection of Chef Jordi’s favorite tapas and free-flow drinks for a festive dance party with beats courtesy by DJ Alex Molina (owner of Agua’s neighboring Mosto/MODO/MOKA restaurant group).

“Now we are very close to the 5th year anniversary and we are going to make a big celebration at Agua on the 7th and 8th of November. I have to say that 5 years in the same restaurant is not very comon in Beijing, I don’t know many restaurants with the same chef for 5 years unless they are the owners. It’s already a big success to be part of one of the top Beijing restaurants after 5 years!” – Chef Jordi Valles

A proud moment for Chef Jordi and his Agua team, he’s come a long way in the past 5 years after his last restaurant Marenostrum closed before devoting his passion in his new “baby”, Agua Contemporary Spanish Restaurant which started in Chienmen 23 next to Maison Boulud before moving into its current space on the 4th floor of Nali Patio next to Enoterra Wine Bar. Since Agua opened 5 years ago, he’s won Best Chef of the Year, Best Restaurant of the Year & Best Service in 2009 and Best Chef of the Year again in 2011.

Enjoy a Sobremesa Spanish Brunch at Agua this October Holiday

Not only is Agua Spanish Restaurant open this October holiday with regular restaurant opening hours (12PM-2:30PM lunch and 6PM-10:30PM dinner), they are offering their popular Sobremesa Spanish Brunch every day from October 1-7th.

A plentiful, indulgent Spanish brunch complete with 5 tapas to share, 1 main course per person + 1 dessert, this brunch is great value at RMB 198 per person. And for free flow red or white sangria, just tack on an additional RMB 98. An ideal brunch option for a long, relaxing brunch with a group of foodie friends who will appreciate sharing a big Spanish spread with a bottomless pitcher of sangria.

“Sobremesa is a Spanish word untranslatable in other languages, it describes the period of time after a meal when you have food-induced conversations with the people you have shared the meal with.” – Agua Spanish Restaurant
