Introducing The Orchid’s New Private Residences
My choice recommendation for out of town guests is always The Orchid.
A boutique hotel nestled in the hutongs by Gulou, the Orchid represents everything that I love about Beijing’s hutongs. A peaceful, zen-inducing traditional Chinese courtyard surrounded by green trees and a second floor dining room with a rooftop terrace that’s one of the most gorgeous that this city has to offer.

Be Among the First to Test Taste The Orchid’s New Dinner Menu!
Every time I go to The Orchid, I leave wishing I spent more time there. Sadly, it seems everyone else feels the same way as the place is almost always booked solid. The good news is that even if you can’t get a reservation to stay, they have made some new renovations and are opening a full kitchen. The Orchid’s Toast Restaurant’s weekend brunch is already drawing in crowds beyond their hotel guests, but this dinner concept featuring bold Middle Eastern flavours is looking like it will turn out to be a killer addition.

A remarkable boutique hotel designed to make you fall in love with Beijing
Mad respect to the little boutique hotel that could, and did!
A co-creation by a Tibetan and a Canadian, Youngcall and Joel have successfully built and operated The Orchid hotel for the past four year, “their dream living space in the heart of Beijing, who’s purpose was to show the world what the city is really all about”.
