Off-Menu Chef’s Dinner with Alan-san at Kagen

Posted: May 6th, 2013 | Author: LumDimSum | Filed under: Foodies & Dining Scene, Upcoming Events | Tags: Chef Alan-san, Chef's Dinner, Hatsune Restaurant Group, Kagen | No Comments »

Off-the-Menu Chef’s Dinner for serious Hatsune Addicts

It’s not every day that you will catch Hatsune Restaurant Owner Alan Wong slaving away in the kitchen (he has his team of sushi samurais to take on most of the grunt work), but when he is in the kitchen, everyone knows something special is in the making.

Always inventing and recreating new (and often one-off) dishes, it would be a shame to let these beautiful creations slip away unnoticed so I’ve taken it upon myself to organize small dinners for our die-hard Hatsune sushi addicts to present an exclusive dinner of “Off Menu Creations”.

Whether he’s behind the sushi bar or in the kitchen, Chef Alan-san causes a stir

This dinner event is really designed for our Hatsune foodies with an adventurous palate and have tried every dish TWICE on our menu, eager for more and a step above the standard menu offerings.

Dinner will take place in the bright and beautiful Robatayaki section of Kagen (B1 of the same building as the Original Hatsune Guanghua Lu branch).

RSVP required as seating is limited. To sign up, you can email:  kristen@lumdimsum.com.

LDS Snapshots from Kagen’s Sake Dinner Tasting Party:

Sake Samurai Master Alan Wong and his Kagen team hosted our popular Sake Tasting Dinner Party in KAGEN Japanese Restaurant (below the original Hatsune Guanghua Lu Branch) on Wednesday, March 27.

Served alongside a 10 dish Kagen dinner menu, our sake dinner party introduced a balanced and diverse range of 5 different types of quality sake that became progressively refined (and significantly more expensive) with each new sake presented.

Hand selected from his own sake collection, Sake Sensei Alan-san explained the meticulous process of brewing sake from rice and water and how to smell and taste the subtle flavors so that sake lovers can more fully appreciate just how delicate and beautiful sake can be.
