Originally named Zest, Zap is what made the final cut and after receiving a handful of snapshots of the space, it’s got quite a lot of character already!
Located on the east side of Xindong Lu, you’ll find the street called Xinfu 3 Cun that runs 50 meters north of James Joyce (same street as East Avenue Apartments & the new Jenny Lou’s). Zap Urban Eatery’s entrance is just opposite Bently.
A step away from the chaos of Sanlitun, but still very accessible and centrally located, Zap Urban Eatery is looking to build community ties both for its local neighbors and regular customers.
“A local vendor will sell vegetables on the front steps every afternoon, and Zap Urban is collaborating with their neighbors to develop other projects. Furthermore, there are two small rooms suitable for group meetings, meaning that the space could well become a community hub for everyone in the area.” – Excerpt from theBeijinger’s Blog Post Introducing Zap Urban Eatery’s Concept
I’m making it a priority to head over to Zap Urban Eatery this week to check out the space, order myself a Toastie and get my fill of Tim-Tams.
Stay tuned for a review and upcoming news about Zap Urban Eatery! (Also stay tuned on news of Modo soon renovating their space on the third floor of Sanlitun Village into an Urban Deli). In the meantime, check out these snapshots of Zap below.
